I deeply understand your mentality, But I think there needs to be a balance. For example I would be inclined to torture these people, But in the understanding that ignorance is the sole/root cause of suffering, And that it is ones ignorance that causes one to cause others pain.
I would end there lives quickly. Although there karma may deserve more than that, At the very least there would be justice in there death. My prefered form of torture would be teaching them why what they did was wrong.
